We understand the impact the fashion industry has on the environment, and we want to do something about it, however we can. Aside from using low-impact fabrics and reducing packaging where possible, we wanted to find a way to leave a positive impact on the environment.
Travel and nature was such a huge inspiration behind the ideation of the brand, so our founder wanted to make sure that as our success as a brand grows, so can our environmental impact. For every garment Sette makes (before even selling), we are ensuring a tree is planted for each one through our partner, One Tree Planted.
We chose to work with One Tree Planted because of their global reach, sensitivity to biodiversity and mission to support the local communities in which they operate. We selected the planting location to be Indonesia, because our founder Monica came up with the idea for Sette during her travels through Bali, a place that has become close to her heart over the years.
